ABOUT THE PROJECT //

Created during a three-day game jam hosted by the University of Utah’s Game Development Club, this project was inspired by the theme: 'Be There in Five.'

As an aspiring game designer new to development, I was tasked with writing the game design document—an essential part of the design process. I also contributed to a scene flowchart and the game’s logo.

While my role was smaller due to the team’s size and my experience level, this project was a great introduction to game development and taught me key skills, especially in documentation.

MY ROLE //

My primary role in this project was creating the game design document, an essential tool for organizing and refining game details. This experience helped me develop skills in documentation that I continue to use and improve.

We used Nuclino, a visual organization tool that structures information in a branching tree format. While I no longer use Nuclino due to its visual style, the tree-based system has influenced how I structure game design documents in my later projects.

I also created the scene flowchart, which helped the team with game structure in Unity. This was a valuable learning experience, reinforcing best practices in scene organization that I still use.
